Invited by Professor Jiang, Professor Tao Xie from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign visited our school, and gave an academic report on Nov. 24 afternoon at classroom B106 in the teaching building. The topic of the report is "Improving Software Reliability via Mining Software Engineering Data". During the report, Professor Tao Xie had a enthusiastical communication with the students.

Invited by the Software Engineering Theory and Technology Research Institute, Guoliang Chen visited our school, and gave an academic report on Oct. 21 afternoon at the conference room on the fifth floor in the ZongHe building. The topic of the report is "Computing Theory Foundations of Big Data".

Invited by Professor Jiang, Zhi Jin from Peking University visited our school, and gave a report "the Software Requirements Elicitation and Analysis Based on the Envoronmental Modelling" in the A401 classroom in the teaching building.

Dr. He Jiang, Dr. Zhilei Ren, Guojun Gao, and Zeyi Sun attended The 1st Chinese Workshop on Evolutionary Computation and Learning (ecole'14) on July 5, 2014. This workshop is hosted by University of Science and Technology of China. Dr. He Jiang gave a talk about Mining of Software Bug Repository based on Machine Learning.

Dr. Zhilei Ren, Guojun Gao, and Zeyi Sun attended the Third Chinese Search Based Software Engineering Workshop (CSBSE 2014) on July 4, 2014. This workshop is hosted by China University of Mining & Technology. Dr. Zhilei Ren gave a talk about evolving next release problem instances.

Invited by Professor Jiang, Bixin Li from Southeast University gave a talk about Service oriented testing and validation, and discussed with students about some topics like how to start research.
