Dr. Maoguo Gong has visited OSCAR on invitation on Oct. 23, 2008. He gave a lecture on the topic of "Artificial Immunity and Multi-Objective Optimization " to the postgraduate students of Software School. Dr. Gong got his doctor degree at Xidian University. He is now an associate professor and master students' supervisor at Xidian University.

Jifeng Xuan visited State Key Laboratry of Computer Science (Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences) on invitation in July and September, 2008. He participated in the project "The Research and Development of Java Source Based Trusted Software Testing Prototype".

He Jiang and Jifeng Xuan attended PAAP 2008（2008 Proceedings of the Inaugural Symposium on Parallel Algorithms, Architecutures and Programming）on Sep. 16-18, 2008, in Hefei, China. A paper of OSCAR has been accepted by PAAP 2008.

August, 2008, Zhilei Ren and Shuyan Zhang attended the summer school of "Trusted Computing" by Shenyang Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

He Jiang attended CEC 2008 (2008 IEEE Congress on Evolutionary Computation，joint conference with IJCNN, FUZZ-IEEE) on Jun. 2-4, 2008, in Hong Kong, China. He is the chair of Session on Hybrid Algorithms II and the co-chair of Session on Ant Colony Optimization II. Two papers of OSCAR have been accepted by CEC 2008.
